Pakistan has officially announced the final squad for the West Indies tour starting on 27th July with the 1st T20I slated to be played in Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. PCB chief Muhammad Wasim also cleared that the squad for the West Indies tour has been picked after consulting skipper Babar Azam and Misbah-ul-Haq.
Currently, most of the Pakistan cricketers will be gearing for the PSL 2021 remainder that will begin on 9th June 2021. It is going to be tough two months for the Men in Green team. They will be up against England in a three-match ODI and T20I series starting on 8th July. The venues for the ODI series are Cardiff, London, and Birmingham. And, T20Is will be played in Nottingham, Leeds, and Manchester.
PCB Announced Strong Squad For West Indies Tour
Soon after that Pakistan Cricket team will travel to West Indies for playing 5 T20Is with the one and 2 Tests. The visitors will be led by their young skipper Babar Azam. In an official statement, Muhammad Waseem said that they have tried picking the best team combination available for the West Indies tour. He also added that the skipper and coach are very happy with the squad picked for the T20I and Test
“As such, keeping in view the above and in consultation with captain Babar Azam and head Misbah-ul-Haq, we have tried our best to maintain the winning combinations but at the same time recalled four experienced players and rewarded uncapped Azam Khan for his domestic performance, while also giving him the required confidence for the future challenges.”
