Heading into the 2nd Test match at Mirpur, India was the outright favorite to win the game. The KL Rahul-led side steamrolled past Bangladesh in the 1st Test match at Chhatrogram to take a 1-0 lead in the 2-match Test series.

But the 2nd Test match has been an equally contested affair. The game is presently poised equally and both teams have a chance to win the game. While India is reeling at 45-4, Bangladesh only has 100 runs to defend in 2 whole days. Therefore, we cannot really say as to which team has the upper hand in the Test match.

After suffering a thumb injury in the 2nd ODI against Bangladesh while fielding at slips, regular skipper Rohit Sharma was ruled out of the Test series against Bangladesh. KL Rahul being the vice-captain of the team, donned the captain’s role.

But he has been facing a lot of flak because of his poor form. KL Rahul has an average of just 17.12 in Tests in the year 2022 and has just one 50 under his belt. Alongside KL Rahul, Team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid too has been facing the heat.

Dravid has failed to prove his credentials being at the helm of the coaching panel of India and has lost some major tournaments. Dravid took over the reins of the Indian cricket team from Ravi Shastri post the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

Under Rahul Dravid’s tenure, India has crashed out of the Super 4 stage in the Asia Cup 2022, lost in the semis of the ICC T20I World Cup 2022 after a hammering against England, and also lost the ODI series against Bangladesh 1-2.

Several Twitter users lashed out at the Team India Head Coach and asked the apex body of Indian cricket, the Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) to sack him.

Here are some of the tweets from angry and disappointed Indian cricket team fans:
