Rohit is known as the machine of hitting sixes. When he appears in his full form on the playground will be the worst day of the opponent team. Even he holds the record of scoring maximum sixes in T20s. Definitely, he would be delighted to have another similar record in Tests as well.

The current record is owned by Navjot Singh Sidhu. As an Indian cricketer, he made the record of hitting the most sixes in a single innings. The match was held at Lucknow against Sri Lanka in 1994 and in that match, he hit 8 sixes and earned 124.

Rohit as an opener, was almost about to break the record in the first innings as he scored six sixes. In the second innings, he did better and hit seven sixes. Though he could not touch the record, but the hope is still there and he proved his ability.

On the other hand, he broke another record of Wasim Akram of holding most sixes in a Test match. Wasim Akram had 12 sixes while Rohit hit 13 sixes in the First Test and surpassed the previous record.

No other player has the record like him. In T20s he made the quickest century by hitting just 35 balls.

With this eminent performance and confidence, he can grab the record of the fastest Test century as an Indian batsman as well. The present record is held by honorable Kapil Dev. As an Indian cricketer, he scored the fastest century against Sri Lanka by playing only 74 balls.

His fans are eagerly waiting for their favorite right-handed batsman to break the previous record and make a place for himself as the fastest century holder by an Indian cricketer.
