Suresh Raina Arrested In Mumbai Club For Violating COVID-19 Rules

Suresh Raina was in the headlines for suddenly pulling out of Indian Premier League 2020. There were reports of a rift between him and former Indian skipper MS Dhoni. Later on, it emerged that the southpaw left the tournament due to some personal reasons. His name again in the spotlight as he got arrested from Mumbai Dragon Fly Club for breaking the Covid rules.

The former player announced retirement from all forms of cricket back on August 15 along with his dearest friend MS Dhoni. However, there are reports that the southpaw will take part in the upcoming season of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and will play for Uttar Pradesh. After bidding adieu to international cricket, Raina is living his life to the fullest. He usually comes out with some videos from his training ground or with his family on social media platforms. Raina scored 768 runs in Tests, 5615 in ODIs, and 1605 Runs in T20Is for India. He also one of the top five run-scorer in the history of the Indian Premier League.

Suresh Raina Once Again In Spotlight But For Wrong Reasons

As per the updates, Suresh Raina traveled to Mumbai for attending an event at Dragon Fly Club. He was there with popular Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa. The Mumbai Police arrested a total of 34 individuals and seven from the club. According to sources, they were arrested under section 188 of IPC, Bombay Police Act, and Epidemic Disease Act. The Sahar Police Station also gave a nod that Suresh Raina and Guru Randhawa were among the ones for violating the rules. But they were released on the bail.

“offense has been registered u/s 188, 269, 34 IPC and u/s 51 NDMA against 34 persons at Sahar police station after a raid was conducted at 2.50 AM at Dragonfly pub, for keeping establishment open beyond the permissible time limit, not following Covid norms such as social distancing, not wearing a face mask.”
