Virat Kolhi Praises Jasprit Bumrah and Says Managing His Workload Important!

Date:

Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian Cricket team has been the first one to sing praises in the name of Jasprit Bumrah who has been performing extremely well in the past matches. The frontline pacer came back to the team after taking a short hiatus after World Cup 2019. He was the one to get a 5/7 in the second innings of the two day match with West Indies making it his 4th time bowling 5 players in a match.

After Jasprit Bumbrah bowled five major players from the West Indies team, Virat Kohli was nothing but thrilled. The match between West Indies and India was one of the most interesting and bagged India the score of the highest win ever.

Virat Kohli said in the interview that management of the work load of Jasprit Bumrah is the utmost priority and this is the reason that he did not play the white-ball game after coming back from World Cup. He also says that team India considers Bumbrah as one of the key players in the World Test Championships where he will be taking some important decisions.

Virat Kohli Also Commented On The Absence of Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin

Virat Kohli addressed the backlash that they have been facing due to leaving Ravichandran Ashwin and Rohit Sharma for the India’s first test game in the Test Championships. Two prominent names in the cricket fraternity, Sunil Gavaskar and Sourav Ganguly were the ones that did not support this decision.

However despite the backlash, Virat Kohli has tried to clear the air by saying that the decisions to not keep the two players in the team was a cumulative one and was done for the betterment of the team. He also said that even though the selection of team is something that always falls under the public radar, every decision is taken keeping in mind the betterment of the Indian cricket team as a whole.

It was also seen that exclusion of both these players did not make a significant difference in the performance of the team. Jasprit Bumbrah was brilliant, Ravindra Jadeja scored well, and Hanuma Vihari exceeded everyone’s expectations with his amazing batting skills. Also the team won with a huge victory and score from the West Indies which was another reason that the haters do not find any space for complaints.
