Bangladesh cricket team is in the spotlight for all good reasons in the past week. They registered their first-ever Test match victory over Blackcaps on their soil and now their special gesture for senior Kiwi player Ross Taylor, who is playing his career’s final game is winning hearts all over social media.
Bangladesh is currently playing 2nd and final game of the two-match Test series against New Zealand. The visitors are leading in the series by 1-0. But, they are on the backfoot in the ongoing affair. The hosts have managed 521 runs for a loss of 6 wickets in the first innings. Tom Latham scored a marathon knock of 252 runs followed by a brilliant ton of Devon Conway. Meanwhile, Tom Blundell also managed a decent fifty with his willow.

Bangladesh was expected to come up with good response but that was not the case. There batting order against the Kiwi bowling attack and they managed only 126 runs. This was all about what happened in the game related to cricket.
But, in the first innings what Bangladesh cricket team won everyone’s heart. The moment Ross Taylor entered the arena to bat, he received a guard of honor from Tigers. They clapped and gave right-handed batsman a walk to the pitch that he will remember for many years to come in his life.
However, he could add only 28 runs in his run-tally before he was dismissed by Ebadot Hossain. As far as the match is concerned, it is rare that Taylor will get an opportunity to bat again in the game as hosts are already in a commanding position to win the game and bring down the Test series to level 1-1.
Actually, Ross Taylor had announced his retirement on 30th December 2021 stating that the Test series against Bangladesh will be his last one in the whites for New Zealand. He will be retiring from ODI and T20Is after playing against Australia and Netherlands in February & March.
