Pakistan is currently playing against Australia in the 1st Test of the series. The hosts won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistan scored 476 runs for a loss of 4 wickets in the match and Australia was dismissed for a score of 459 runs. While Pakistan was fielding in the match, Mohammad Rizwan took a very smart catch that dismissed Steve Smith. Very soon a clip of that instance got viral on social media.

Australia did well in their first innings on the back of some brilliant knocks coming from Usman Khawaja, Steve Smith, David Warner, and Marnus Labuscagne. All the four batsmen scored amazing fifties that kept Australia in the game.

Meanwhile, Nauman Ali emerged as a star from Pakistan that turned things around for his team. The spinner grabbed 6 wickets for the hosts in the first innings including the important wickets of Usman Khawaja, Steve Smith, and Travis Head.

During the 1st innings, Steve Smith, the former skipper of Australia was batting with confidence and focus on a spin-friendly track of Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. Butm in the 125th over, the right-handed Aussie batsman lost all of it. He tried to play sweep off Nauman Ali. But, he ended up edging the ball that directly went into the gloves of Pakistani wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan.

The right-handed batsman scored 78 runs before his departure in the 1st innings.

Coming onto the current situation, Pakistan is batting at a score of 76 runs without a loss of wicket. Abdullah Shafique has managed 33 runs and Imam-ul-Haq has amassed 40 runs with the bat in the second innings. The hosts currently have a lead of 93 runs and will look to give a mammoth target to Australia for the chase.
