American superstar Tom Cruise hogged the limelight at the Closing Ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics with his stupendous stunt skills at France’s national stadium, Stade de France on 11th August 2024 in Paris.
Post the completion of a successful Paris Olympics 2024, Tom Cruise was in full swing, delivering some noteworthy and memorable performances that struck a chord with all the spectators inside the stadium and the billions across the globe, watching on their television and mobile sets.
He jumped off the roof of the stadium and landed on the stage in a smooth and effortless manner, where he was joined in by the Mayor of Los Angeles, Mayor Karen Bass. American Gymnast Simone Biles was also present.
Post taking the Olympic flag from the 27-year-old star Gymnast, Tom Cruise then hopped on to his motorcycle and carried the flag out of the stadium. The song “By The Way” by Rock Band “Red Hot Chilli Peppers” played in the background and it made for a spectacular sight.
In a prerecorded scene, Cruise, star of Mission Impossible, is seen riding a bike past the Eiffel Tower, getting into an aircraft, and skydiving over the Hollywood sign. A wide image of the iconic landmark in Los Angeles—home of the next Olympics—shows the Olympic rings integrated into the structure.
Los Angeles to host 2028 Olympics
USA’s Los Angeles will be hosting the 2028 Olympics and the buzz and the excitement levels are quite high for the next edition. For a lot of Indians, there is positive news as cricket will be staging a comeback at the Olympics from the next edition.

USA finished with 40 gold medals, 44 silver medals and 42 bronze medals, amounting to a staggering 126 number of medals at Paris 2024 Olympics. They finished on the 1st position and were followed by China, who bagged a total of 91 medals that included 40 gold medals, 27 silver medals and 24 bronze medals.
