Jon Rahm was born to Edorta Rahm and Angela Rodriguez in Barrika town quite north of Spain. He has an elder brother named Eric Rahm. His father, Edorta encouraged him to move to the US for golf. - He is also nicknamed the “Rahmbo” because of his anger issues and there have been some instances of Rahm slamming the clubs into the ground in frustration when he is competing.
- Rahm’s victory in the Workday Charity Open ended in some controversy when he was given a two-stroke penalty after play was completed. Interestongly it was asssessed that he unknowingly caused his ball to move before he chipped in for birdie on the 16th hole. But still he won by 3- strokes.
