San Diego Chargers: Philip Rivers was drafted to the San Diego Chargers in 2004. He was a round 1 pick and signed a deal for $40 million. He also got $14.5 million as a sign-on bonus. In the 2004 and 2005 seasons, he would only play 4 games in total.
In 2006 Rivers became the starter quarterback for the San Diego Chargers. After becoming the first choice, he made the position his own, playing 16 games in every season. From 2006-16 he established his brand in the team. Owing to this, he was also part of the Pro Bowl selection in 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2016.
