Shikhar Dhawan was born on December 5, 1985, in Delhi, to Sunaina and Mahendra Pal Dhawan, who came from a Punjabi family. He finished his education at Meera Bagh’s St. Mark’s Senior Secondary Public School. He has been training at Sonnet Club since he was 12 years old, under the direction of coach Tarak Sinha.
