Sam Curran
With the teams allowed only four players to retain, Men in Yellow, unfortunately, had to release Sam Curran for the next edition. He was one of the promising players alongside Ruturaj Gaikwad that would reach new heights for his team after being signed for 5.50 Cr in 2010 Auctions. MS Dhoni made great use of the England seamer in IPL 2020 where he took 13 wickets and amassed 186 Runs in 14 matches.
Sam Curran was pretty effective with the ball in the India leg of the IPL 2021. He picked 9 wickets in 9 matches with the ball but didn’t get a lot of opportunities with the ball. Sam Curran is one of the greatest assets in T20 cricket and CSK should have given a thought about him.
