Too Many Cooks Spoil the broth
Paris Saint Germain is spoiled by riches this season. This summer alone they have signed the likes of Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi, Gianluigi Donarumma, Giorginio Wijnaldum apart from Messi himself. They also had the likes of Neymar, Mbappe, Icardi, Keylor Navas, etc. Other top professionals at the club already.
There is a saying “Too many cooks spoil the broth” and this may very well occur at PSG this season. Among the star power, players would want to stand out. The likes of Mbappe and Neymar especially are fellow Ballon d’Or competitors of Lionel Messi. They would want to show that they are at or even higher than Messi’s level. This may lead to turmoil at the club.
Neymar also reportedly left FC Barcelona to get out of Messi’s shadow and flourish on his own. Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi have not seen eye to eye for many years during El Clasico’s. All these things could affect PSG’s season and may also make Messi’s move a flop.
