Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao is set to portray former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly in an eagerly anticipated biopic, a project that has generated significant buzz among fans and the film industry alike. 

This exciting announcement was confirmed by Ganguly himself during a recent media interaction in Bardhaman, West Bengal.

While speaking to reporters, Ganguly stated, “From what I’ve heard, Rajkummar Rao will play the role, but there are issues of dates, so it will take more than a year to hit the screens.” 

This statement highlights the enthusiasm surrounding the project while also addressing the scheduling challenges that may delay its release.

The biopic aims to chronicle Ganguly’s illustrious cricketing career, exploring his journey from his early days in Kolkata to becoming one of India’s most successful cricket captains.
