ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Most Runs, Wickets, Player Of The Tournament, Know All

The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 has finally drawn curtains and we have witnessed some stellar and high-profile matches in West Indies and USA. India have been crowned champions after beating South Africa in a close fashion in the finals at Barbados.

Rohit Sharma and co. have won the T20 World Cup after 17 years and have won a World Cup after 13 years. There was a downpour of excessive emotions as most of the Indians broke down.

India had come agonizingly close to winning the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 but it was Australia who bagged the honours in the high-voltage finals. Therefore, this victory meant a lot for the Men in Blue.

South Africa, who played their first-ever World Cup final, would be extremely proud and happy for their stellar and exemplary performances.

It was a team effort and even though they lost the plot from a winning position in the finals, there are several takeaways for them from this competition.

Aiden Markram, who is a highly successful captain, was extremely close to winning his first major trophy with the senior team of South Africa.

Post the win, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma announced that they will be retiring from the T20I format and that this World Cup was their last in this format.

A day later, Ravindra Jadeja hung up his boots from T20Is. Thus, an era has ended in the Indian cricket team. Several fond memories will be remembered for a long time.

Virat and Rohit have been two pillars of the Indian cricket team and the youngsters will now have to punch above their weight in order to fill the void which will be created because of their departure.
