Dominating knocks by Sanju Samson, Devdutt Padikkal and Shimron Hetmyer powered RR to a thumping 61-run victory. Batting first, RR posted a massive score of 210 with the loss of six wickets. Jos Butler and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave platform with a 58 run stand in the first six overs.
Later Sanju Samson played a fearless knock of 55 off 27 with Devdutt Paddikal maintaining the scoring rate with his 41. Then Shimron Hetmyer hit three sixes and a boundary to finish with a 13-ball 32. In the chase, the top four SRH batters returned to the pavilion at single digits with Prasidh Krishna and Chahal’s incisive spell. Later Aiden Markram put up a lone fight but it was too late as the run rate kept creeping up in double digits. Lately, SRH could muster only 149 in pursuit of 211.
