ISL 2022-23: Odisha FC Rope In Services Off Goalkeeper Amrinder Singh

Indian Super League (ISL) Odisha FC have secured the services off famed goalkeeper Amrinder Singh for the upcoming ISL 2022-23.

Amrinder Singh, who is one of the most decorated goalkeepers in ISL history came in as a free agent to the Odisha FC side. He had bagged the Golden Glove award in ISL 2016 when he kept for Mumbai City FC. He had five clean sheets in that game and was an absolute revelation.

In total, Amrinder Singh has 34 clean sheets in 117 ISL matches and is one of the best goalkeepers in the history of this lucrative league. He has previously plied his trade for top franchises in the ISL such as ATK, Bengaluru FC and Mumbai City FC.

He has also represented India in the national team as has played in 7 matches. Singh has been named in the 24-member probable Indian squad for the two friendlies against Singapore and Vietnam.

Amrinder Singh hails from Mahilpur of Punjab and is a doyen of goalkeeping in the ISL. He is one of the most sought-after goalkeepers in the ISL and the Juggernauts would definitely cash in on the amazing signing. In all probability, Singh will be the first-choice goalkeeper of Odisha FC.

The young goalkeepers of Odisha FC in the form of Lalthuammawia and Niraj Kumar would be keen to learn from the ISL legend and improve their game.

Odisha FC will be playing their first game of ISL 2022-23 on October 11 against Jamshedpur FC. The match will be taking place at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur.
