The Women’s Premier League’s inaugural season is all set to take place from March 4 to March 26. Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants will play in the opening match of the WPL 2023 on March 4 in Mumbai.
From March 4 and March 26, five teams will battle for the winning trophy. Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, UP Warriors, and Gujarat Giants are the teams that will face off against one another.
As per the latest update, Smriti Mandhana has now joined the RCB squad. Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of both MI and India, has promised to play aggressive cricket in line with Rohit Sharma’s MI team.
With few hours left until the start of the inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League, the WPL 2023 tickets are available on the online platform.

For the media rights to WPL, only Viacom18 and Disney Star submitted bids. Where Star’s INR 98 crore proposal is defeated by Viacom’s INR 951 crore bid (only digital).
For INR 23,757.5 crore or USD 3.04 billion, Viacom 18 also acquired the digital rights to the men’s IPL for the subcontinent, as well as the TV and digital rights for three other worldwide regions, namely Australia + New Zealand, the UK, and South Africa, for INR 1058 crore or USD 135.49 million.
