3 Reasons Why Braun Strowman Deserves A WWE Title Match After Extreme Rules 2022

Braun Strowman

When Braun Strowman returned to WWE after being released from his contract in 2021, he stunned the wrestling community. As soon as he got back, The Monster Among Men continued to terrorize wrestlers both within and beyond the ring.

Braun first focused on the whole tag team division after his comeback, but recently he has turned his attention to Alpha Academy. He has just defeated Otis in a one-on-one match and has been at odds with the former RAW Tag Team Champions for the past few weeks. Prior to being let go from his contract last year, Braun Strowman was one of the most well-liked WWE stars.

Even though he only held the world championship for just one reign, he was instrumental in boosting superstars like Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar by perfectly portraying his role as an overwhelming monster. Braun’s second engagement with the organization has been treated patiently by Triple H. While he is still at odds with Alpha Academy, he will soon face The Tribal Chief. Here are 3 reasons why Braun Strowman deserves a WWE Title Match after Extreme Rules 2022.

1. He has never held the WWE Championship

The list of accomplishments Braun Strowman has accumulated throughout the course of his career is undoubtedly remarkable. He formerly held the titles of Universal, RAW Tag Team, and Intercontinental, as well as being the winner of Money in the Bank in 2018 and the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2019.  Yet the list does not include the WWE Championship, the greatest accolade in the industry. If there is one person who deserves a shot at it, it is definitely Braun.

2. Strowman’s Universal Championship win was unfulfilling

WrestleMania 36 in 2020 had to be held in an empty building owing to the pandemic’s effects, and Roman Reigns withdrew. Strowman was then selected as a last-minute replacement to battle Goldberg for the Universal Title. Strowman ultimately prevailed in the decisive battle after a terrible two-minute contest in which the two swapped finishers. Strowman finally had his big moment, but it was underwhelming, there was no build, and the match was difficult to watch. A champion of his stature definitely deserved a better pedestal.

3. His rivalry with Roman Reigns continues

Strowman is likely to still be haunted by his humiliating loss to Reigns on Smackdown in 2020 when the Tribal Chief defeated The Monster with the guillotine submission move. There is a very good likelihood that Braun and Roman will face off soon. A title match between the two will be one for the books.
