According to reports, Fist O’ Fire, a new insignia for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (MW3), will look very similar to Mortal Kombat’s Scorpion. This could be one of the earliest indirect hints about an impending crossover between Mortal Kombat and Activision’s most recent multiplayer shooting game.
All of these, meanwhile, are only conjectures based on the compromised symbol that data miners discovered.
The Boys’ partnership will continue in Modern Warfare 3 with the impending Season 1 Reloaded update.
It is quite doubtful that the publisher would add a second crossover alongside the release of bundles like the A-Train and Firecracker Tracer Packs, considering new gameplay material has already been added to the official site.
Call of Duty x Mortal Combat Possibilities
There has been no official confirmation from Activision or any of the devs regarding the existence of a Mortal Kombat crossover in Modern Warfare 3.
Given the savagery of the game, it would fit in wonderfully with MW3’s fast-paced kill-or-be-killed style. In addition, the leaked emblem’s artwork resembles that of Scorpion, one of Mortal Kombat’s most well-known characters.
The symbol is straightforward and features a masked face in the leaked photos. In addition, the face has a cowl over one eye and burning flames emanating from the hands all around it.
The mask is somewhat golden in color, matching Scorpion’s skin tone well, and it covers the lips and nostrils.
The symbol image shows several objects that resemble chains around the neck; they are probably the same grappling hooks that the Mortal Kombat character employs.
It seems improbable that MW3 will see such a crossover in the next release, despite all of the parallels.
This may be included in the Season 2 update’s gameplay content as soon as possible. As the publisher alone has the ultimate say, this might also be conjecture on the side of the community.
