Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play
Modern Warfare 3’s Ranked Play is officially available as of January 18, 2024. Following the problems that caused the debut to be delayed, Call of Duty said on X that the game mode is now accessible.
It’s finally possible for those who want to play competitive Call of Duty to enter ranked matches.
The Season 1 Reloaded update was meant to include Ranked Play, however a number of issues caused the developers to decide to delay its release. Only a few hours before the patch was released, Call of Duty revealed the delay in a previous post.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, MWIII Ranked Play will be delayed while we investigate a recently discovered critical issue. Our teams are working to solve this issue and launch #MWIII Ranked Play as soon as possible.”
Many players were shocked and perplexed by the announcement, as the creators gave very little to no details behind the postponement.
Thankfully, they were able to address the bugs and reintroduce the competitive mode to the game a day following the update.
As previously stated, Call of Duty League normal regulations apply to Ranked Play, with specific maps, weapons, and attachments being prohibited.
The rated lobbies are only accessible to players who have reached Level 55. Players must ascend through the Skill Divisions brackets by winning matches.
