Upthrust BGMI Challengers Showdown Season 2

The Upthrust BGMI Challengers Showdown Season 2 Semifinals are scheduled for May 20 – 22. Here, 24 teams from the earlier rounds will compete over three days to claim one of the 16 slots in the Grand Finals. 

The Challengers Showdown has a total prize fund of Rs. 9 lakh. There are five stages in which it is performed. Eight of the 24 competitors were chosen during the Redemption Week of this event, and the remaining 16 were picked during the Elimination Week. 

In the Semifinals, they will be split up into three groups of eight teams each, and they will play each other in a Round Robin format.

The Grand Finals, which are set for May 27 and 29, will be contested by the top 16 teams on the total points table. 

The squad that finishes first in the Semifinals will receive a Rs. 75,000 cash reward. Prize money for the second and third-placed clubs is Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 30,000, respectively, and Rs. 20,000 goes to the fourth-place squad.

The best performer throughout the event’s Redemption Week was Reckoning Esports. In this phase, Team Soul and Carnival Gaming both had outstanding performances. 

These two teams placed third and second, respectively. Alibaba Raiders, Team Forever, and Enigma secured the fourth, fifth, and sixth positions, in that order. Redzone and Team Tamilas came in seventh and eighth, respectively. These eight Redemption Week teams have advanced to the Semifinals.

The standout performance in the Elimination Week was MOGO Esports, who signed the former Gods Reign lineup. After a long break, the Destro-led BGMI lineup appeared to be in excellent form. 

In this round, GenxFM Esports came in second, and Revenant Esports was third. Team XSpark also had an incredible run, finishing in fourth place.
