Team India suffered a big blow as there are reports that Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma have been ruled out from the first two Tests. The Men in Blue will lock horns with Australia in red-ball cricket after the conclusion of the three-match ODI and T20I series. Rohit Sharma was already ruled out from the limited-over series. Now, he will be absent in the first couple of Tests of the India vs Australia Series.
Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma are currently in National Cricket Academy. The duo is undergoing rehabilitation. They were expected to achieve full match fitness in order to play the Test series. But, both players have failed in doing so.

In Ishant Sharma’s case, he needs four weeks to achieve full match fitness. And, is expected to available for the third Test that will be played in Sydney from January 7. But, the Indian pacer will have to board a flight soon as he will have to serve a quarantine period of 14-days as per the Australian Government norms.
On the other hand, according to ESPNCricinfo, Rohit Sharma’s case is very different. He can leave for Australia by December 8. Afterward, he will be quarantined for 14-days. As per BCCI official, the Indian opener would have played the full Test series if he had traveled to Australia along with the squad. It is known that the 32-year-old is still not fit to play proper games. And, is expected to recover from his injury in the next two weeks.
If anything goes wrong, BCCI might ask Shreyas Iyer to stay in Australia as a cover for the Indian opener. Meanwhile, Team India’s pace attack looks week sharp in the presence of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Navdeep Saini.
The Men in Blue will play their very first game of the tour against Australia on November 27 in Sydney.
