Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have made significant moves during the IPL 2025 mega auction, held on November 24 and 25, 2024, in Jeddah.
As the defending champions, KKR aimed to bolster their squad while retaining key players from their victorious 2024 campaign.
KKR’s strategy focused on retaining experienced players while investing heavily in key positions, particularly with the acquisition of Venkatesh Iyer as a cornerstone of their campaign and Anrich Nortje to strengthen their bowling attack.
The team still has a remaining purse of approximately ₹5 crores and aims to finalize its roster before the season kicks off.
