Dewald Brevis, the young South African sensation, has emerged as a prime candidate to replace Jacob Bethell in the RCB squad.
Despite going unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction with a base price of INR 0.75 Crores, Brevis possesses the explosive batting prowess that RCB desperately needs in their middle order.
In the recent SA20 2025 tournament, Brevis proved his mettle, scoring 291 runs at an impressive average of 48.50 and a blistering strike rate of 184.18.
His ability to score quickly and consistently makes him a dangerous proposition for any bowling attack.
2. Daryl Mitchell
Daryl Mitchell, the experienced New Zealand middle-order batter, is another strong contender to replace Jacob Bethell in the RCB squad.
Mitchell has been in “remarkable form of late,” consistently contributing with both bat and ball for New Zealand.
Mitchell played a “pivotal role” in New Zealand’s victory in the first ODI against Pakistan, scoring a composed 81 runs off 84 deliveries.
His ability to build partnerships and anchor the innings makes him a valuable asset in the middle order.
3. Michael Bracewell
Michael Bracewell, the New Zealand all-rounder, is a familiar name to the RCB camp, having represented the franchise in the past.
Bracewell has excellent T20 numbers, boasting 2916 runs and 73 wickets in the format, with a batting average of 28.31 and a bowling average of 21.49.
