India dominates the World Cup championships in two Kabaddi styles: the circle style, also known as the Punjabi style, and the standard style. Both styles have men’s and women’s international teams competing internationally.
The Punjab government started the Circle-Style Kabaddi World Cup in 2010. Since then, the Punjab government has hosted seven world cups until 2020, and India has won six of them as the Circle-Style World Champion.
The State of Pakistan hosted the last tournament in Lahore, which the Pakistan Kabaddi team won.
