In both the seasons of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), Delhi Capitals have been quite unlucky and unfortunate. Delhi Capitals have played the finals in both the editions, only to end up being on the losing side, on both the occasions.

While they lost to Mumbai Indians in the WPL 2023 finals by 7 wickets, Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated them in the finals of WPL 2024. Their misfiring fortune needs a major revamp in WPL 2025 as they aim to cross the final frontier.

As they say that third time’s the charm, Meg Lanning and co. would be looking to notch up a few victories, early on in the WPL season, to have a head-start.

In this article, we take a look at the top 3 players to watch out for in the Delhi Capitals women’s team in WPL 2025:

The 21-year-old cricketer has already played 85 T20Is and has all the ingredients of being a contemporary great in this format. With 309 runs under her belt, the fiery opener finished as the third-highest run-getter in WPL 2024.

    2. Annabel Sutherland

23-year-old Australian bowling all-rounder, Annabel Sutherland, has been wreaking havoc with both the bat and the ball in the T20I format. The youngster has played 42 T20Is for Australia and has scored 157 runs while bagging 32 wickets.

Sutherland has often been promoted up the order by the Delhi Capitals management and she might once again come right at the top and provide some resolute starts to the team.

    3. Radha Yadav

Having bagged 10 wickets in WPL 2024, Radha Yadav had finished as the third-highest wicket-taker of Delhi Capitals. She can smack a few lusty blows at the lower middle-order and can leave an impact in the game.

In the WPL 2025 game against Mumbai Indians, Radha Yadav smacked a six off Saika Ishaque in the final delivery of the 19th over and powered her side to a commanding position in the game. Delhi eventually bagged the honours of that game by 2 wickets.
