    India’s Test Opener

Rohit Sharma has retired from Test cricket, leaving a big gap at the top of India’s batting order. He was one of India’s best openers and often gave the team a strong start.

Now, the selectors have to choose new players to open the batting in Test matches. The three main players who could take Rohit’s place are Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

    1. Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill is a young and talented batsman who has already opened for India in Test matches.

He played an important role in India’s famous win in Australia in 2021. Gill is calm and has good technique, which helps him play well against fast bowlers.

Even though he sometimes bats in the middle order, opening the innings is where he feels most comfortable. If he gets a regular chance as an opener, he can become a key player for India.

    2. KL Rahul

KL Rahul is an experienced batsman who has opened for India many times. He has scored centuries in tough conditions, especially in countries like England and Australia.

Rahul is known for his solid defense and ability to handle fast, swinging balls. He is calm under pressure and can adapt to different situations.

With his experience, Rahul is a strong choice to open the batting and give India a good start.

    3. Yashasvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal is the youngest among the three. He is known for his attacking style and has already impressed everyone with his batting in Test cricket.

Jaiswal is a left-handed batsman, which gives variety to the team. He likes to play his shots and can put pressure on the bowlers.

His recent performances in domestic cricket have been very good, and he looks ready to take on the role of an opener for India.

Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and Yashasvi Jaiswal are the top choices to replace Rohit Sharma as India’s Test opener. The selectors will soon decide who will take on this important job and help India in future Test matches.
