IPL 2021 auction was held successfully on February 18 in Chennai. The franchises splashed money like anything in order to grab the services of some talented and exciting players. Around 150 Crores were used by all eight franchises.
Now every side looks jam-packed with big T20 names that will be spotted playing in the IPL 2021 season. In the recently concluded IPL auction, Kyle Jamieson, Chis Morris, Glenn Maxwell, Moeen Ali managed to get million dollar deal from the buyers.
With everything done, now cricket fans are waiting for the commencement of the Indian Premier League 2021 season that is reportedly expected to begin in the 2nd week of April, probably April 11. Earlier, there were rumors that IPL governing council will add two new teams to the tournament. But, due to a shortage of time BCCI dropped that idea. Also, they decided to increase overseas player slots in aside from 4 to 5 in a match. Meanwhile, there is also a report that states that BCCI has picked Mumbai and Ahemdabad as the venue that will be used during IPL 2021.

New Rules To Be Introduced In IPL 2021
IPL governing council has increased the number of overseas player strength in each game. Earlier, only four overseas players used to get a place in the final playing XI. But, in the upcoming edition, every side can pick a total of five foreign players in a match.
Disclaimer: This is the tentative schedule for the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. However, BCCI is yet to release the exact schedule for the tournament. Also, their are rumors that the Indian Premier League will be organized in the month of April and May in Mumbai and Ahemdabad explicitly.
