The day for the Australian cricket team started with a bang as they dominated England batsmen from the word go in 1st Test of Ashes. The way Aussie bowlers have bowled is simply mesmerizing and England batters looked very pale with the bat. Out of all the wickets, the way Josh Hazelwood dismissed Joe Root showed how good the former is when it comes to Test cricket.

England won the toss and elected to bat first at The Gabba in the 1st Test. The decision didn’t go down well with the visitors’ side as they lost their first five wickets within just 60 runs. Later on, Jos Buttler and Ollie Pope stitched a 52 run partnership in order to bring their side back into the game. But, it was never going to be enough for England.
The pace trio of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazelwood bowled some serious swing on Day-1. And, played a major role in dismissing England on a low score of 147. But, the highlight of the day was the battle between Josh Hazelwood and Joe Root.
The star pacer showcased his world-class bowling swing. He bowled a couple of deliveries on good length before adding some swing to it. And, he bowled a world-class in-swinger to the England skipper. Root tried to defend it on the front foot. But, the ball took a thick edge, and David Warner, who was standing on the first slip, took a fantastic catch.
Coming onto the game, Pat Cummins, the new Aussie skipper took a five-wicket haul. He was well supported by other players as Josh Hazelwood grabbed two and Mitchell Starc took two wickets.
