Punjab Kings registered their 5th victory in the Indian Premier League 2022 season. Shikhar Dhawan steered the Punjab-based franchise to an emphatic victory. Also, Liam Livingstone lit up the stadium with his powerful batting.

He hogged the spotlight towards him when he smashed Mohammed Shami for a 117-meter-long six in the 16th over of the innings. The video of the same instance got viral on social media and fans reacted to it.

Gujarat Titans won the toss and elected to bat first in the match. They posted a respectable total of 143 runs in 20 overs. During the chase, PBKS got off to a poor start as they lost Jonny Bairstow in the 3rd over of the innings.

Afterward, Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Shikhar Dhawan stitched a match-winning partnership of 87 runs for the 2nd wicket. Dhawan scored unbeaten 62 runs and Bhanukar mustered 40 runs off 28 balls before getting out to Kiwi pacer Lockie Ferguson.

Liam Livingstone came to bat in order to finish the game fast for Punjab Kings keeping the net run rate in mind that can play a key role in qualification towards the end of the league stage. It looked like PBKS staff asked Livingstone to go berserk in order to finish the game.

He went for a mammoth six on the very first delivery of Mohammed Shami’s over. The cricket fans and players on the field were left shocked. The bowler was left with a smile on his face and opposition side spinner Rashid Khan came to have a look at the bat if it was made of wood or metal.

The right-handed batsman collected 28 runs in an over of Mohammed Shami’s 16th over and finished the game for Punjab Kings. The cricketing fraternity took to the micro-blogging website and shared their reaction over the same.
