ISL 2022-23

The Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 has completed its half-way proceedings and it is set up for a fabulous and exciting second half. Just like football gives everyone an opportunity in the second half to stage a comeback, ISL 2022-23 too provides the struggling teams to change their fortunes.

After Match week 11, Mumbai City FC tops the charts in the points table. The Islanders have been a sheer dominating force under Head Coach Des Buckingham and are the only team in ISL 2022-23 to remain unbeaten. They most recently steamrolled past East Bengal FC at the Salt Lake Stadium, 3-0.

Reigning ISL champions Hyderabad FC occupy the 2nd position in the ISL 2022-23 points table. Manolo Marquez’s men have only suffered 1 loss and that came at the hands of Kerala Blasters FC. It seemed like the Yellow Army were bent upon avenging their ISL 2021-22 final loss against the Nizams.

In this article, we take a look at the updated points table of ISL 2022-23 after Match Week 11:

Updated Points Table of ISL 2022-23

The likes of NorthEast United FC, Jamshedpur FC and East Bengal FC have a lot to catch up in the second half of ISL 2022-23. The Highlanders are yet to win a game in ISL 2022-23 and even though they have had a change in their coaching personnel, things have not gone their way in this tournament.

Last season’s ISL League Shield winners, Jamshedpur FC too have been a shadow of their last season’s performance. Aidy Boothroyd has struggled a lot this season and it seems like the Men of Steel lack precision in their attack.

East Bengal FC need to quickly revive their fortunes as Stephen Constantine’s men are coming on the back of 2 losses. They lost their last 2 games against Hyderabad FC and Mumbai City FC. The Red and Gold Brigade have a golden opportunity of getting their campaign back on track on 30th December 2022.

East Bengal FC will be hosting Simon Grayson’s Bengaluru FC on 30th December 2022. In the reverse fixture in ISL 2022-23, East Bengal FC beat Bengaluru FC 1-0. Cleiton Silva scored the goal against his former club.
