Neeraj Chopra has sparked interest throughout the world with his accomplishments for India in the javelin throw. He is now known as India’s athletic face and is already a sensation there. Neeraj has made history by overtaking sprinting legend Usain Bolt to become the athlete who would be covered the most by the media in 2022.
Neeraj, 24, had a fantastic year in the javelin throw, placing second in the world championships in Eugene, Oregon. Neeraj is now the only other Indian to win a medal at such a high level. He also made history by becoming the first athlete from India to win the Diamond League Javelin final, taking gold with a tremendous throw of 88.44 metres.
