Hardik Pandya is likely to take over the ODI and T20I teams’ command as the new captains, soon. According to reports, Hardik would replace Rohit Sharma, whose health has recently been a cause of worry. Injury has forced Rohit to miss a number of games, including the current Test series against Bangladesh.
By leading Gujarat Titans to an IPL championship earlier this year, Hardik established his leadership abilities, and he was the top choice for the T20I captaincy.
According to reports, Pandya has already been notified of the decision to replace Rohit, and the BCCI is now just waiting for him to be available for both T20I and ODI matches.
Four of the five T20I matches the all-rounder oversaw for the Indian cricket team ended in victories. While Rohit is scheduled to make his return from injury in January 2023, there is a probability that the BCCI would choose to make a leadership change. India will host Sri Lanka in that match.
