On Friday, December 23, in Kochi, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction is scheduled to take place. The 10 franchises will finalise their squads for the 16th IPL season. A maximum of 87 slots will be available in the mini-auction, including slots for 30 foreign players to compete in the league.
In order to win their first IPL championship, Punjab Kings rebuilt the greatest team possible throughout the years. PBKS has yet to reach the playoffs, except in 2014 (KXIP), despite investing in some well-known players.
Punjab Kings finished sixth on the points table the previous season but were unable to advance to the playoffs. Prior to the IPL 2023 mini-auction, Punjab Kings released Mayank Agarwal. The team will put its thinking cap on and target seasoned players in the forthcoming auction with a fat retention purse.
