Battlegrounds Mobile India’s developers, Krafton, have dropped a major hint about the game’s potential return. On a conference call a short while ago, KRAFTON CEO Kim stated that he anticipates the title will be unbanned this year. The BGMI return date has been anticipated for more than six months. The gaming community must be thrilled to hear this news.
BGMI was banned in July 2022 in accordance with Section 69A of the IT Act by the Indian government. The gaming community was shocked by this information. It prevented many competitive gamers and content producers from pursuing their jobs. Since then, though, a number of stories and speculations surrounding Battleground Mobile India‘s return have been in circulation. Krafton on BGMI return
In its most recent financial report, Krafton claimed that it is taking all necessary steps to bring the game back to India as soon as possible. The following was stated:
“KRAFTON is continuing its efforts to resume services for BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) and will continue investing in the Indian games market.”
It is hope-inducing to see the commitment Krafton has toward bringing BGMI back to India. It does not seem like they are willing to back down or give up. This drastically increases the likelihood of the game returning.
Krafton CEO talks about BGMI unban
Krafton CEO recently also commented on the BGMI return date. He said: “We are expecting that BGMI will be banned this year, the service suspension will be resolved and if it is unbanned, we are again expecting great growth.”
This is good news for all fans of Battlegrounds Mobile India as since the comment is from the CEO of Krafton himself, we can undoubtedly expect the return of BGMI by the end of 2023.
