Two foreign players in the form of Ashleigh Gardner and Sophie Ecclestone bagged lucrative deals in the ongoing Women’s Premier League 2023 auctions.
While Australian all-rounder Gardner bagged a whopping deal of Rs. 3.20 crores and will be representing the Gujarat Giants in the Women’s Premier League 2023, English spinner Sophie Ecclestone will be playing for the UP Warriorz franchise.
Ecclestone was bought for a sum of Rs. 1.80 crores by the UP Warriorz team in the ongoing Women’s Premier League 2023 auction.
The likes of Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana too have bagged huge deals and will be playing for the Mumbai franchise and the Bangalore franchise, respectively.
The Women’s Premier League 2023 is expected to revolutionize cricket in India and is expected to be an absolute blockbuster.
