IPL 2023: DC vs MI Head-to-Head Records In IPL

Date:

On April 11, 2023, at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, match number 16 of the Indian Premier League 2023 would pit Mumbai Indians (MI) against Delhi Capitals (DC).

The last time MI and DC played was in Mumbai during the penultimate game of the IPL 2022 league stage, where DC batted first and scored 159/7 in the allowed 20 overs. Chasing 160, MI finished their innings in 19.1 overs with the loss of five wickets thanks to Ishan Kishan’s 48 and Tim David’s lightning-quick 34 off just 11 runs.

The IPL 2023 hasn’t gone down well for the Mumbai and Delhi squads. Both teams are aiming for their first victory of the year. Take a look at DC and MI’s Head to Head record in IPL matches before the exciting matchup.

Mumbai Indians

After suffering heavy losses to two of their top opponents in the lucrative league, Mumbai Indians enter the match. They suffered losses in both their home game against CSK and their away game against RCB.

The only bright spot for Mumbai Indians’ batting lineup has been Tilak Varma, who in two games has amassed 106 runs at an amazing average of 106 and a strike rate of 165.62. In order to go back on track towards glory, they would aim to deliver improved performances in every area.

Delhi Capitals

In contrast, Delhi Capitals enter the game with figures that are comparable to those of their opponents; the only difference is that DC has played one more game than MI. DC is positioned at the bottom of the IPL points table after three straight losses.

Other than David Warner, who has been holding on to the team’s sinking ship while accumulating 158 runs at an average of 52.67 with two half-centuries, no batter has stood up for them.

If Delhi Capitals need to go big in the competition, they will also be looking for improved performances in their match against Mumbai and will truly need their top players to come up.
