Date:

The upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 final between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans may face a potential disruption due to the unpredictable weather conditions prevailing in Gujarat.

In Qualifier 1, Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans by 15 runs, securing their spot in yet another IPL final. However, Gujarat Titans showcased a clinical performance against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Qualifier 2, earning their rightful place in the summit clash.

However, with the potential threat of rain looming over the IPL 2023 final, both teams will have to remain prepared for any possible interruptions or adjustments to the match schedule.

The fate of the IPL 2023 final hangs in the balance as cricket fans anxiously await updates on the weather conditions in Gujarat. Know complete details on whether will it rains in IPL 2023 final, winning scenarios and other details.

CSK vs GT: Will it rain in the IPL 2023 Final?

AccuWeather has reported a high probability of rain interrupting the IPL 2023 final. The forecast suggests that rain showers are likely to persist throughout the day, with the first expected to arrive at 1 PM IST. Adding to the concern, there is a more than 40% chance of rain during the match hours.

Such weather conditions pose a major threat to the much-anticipated clash, raising concerns about the smooth progression of the IPL 2023 final between the Chennai Super Kings and the Gujarat Titans. Cricket fans around the world are left hoping that the rain gods will be kind and spare the match from disruptions.

CSK vs GT: What if the IPL 2023 Final gets cancelled due to rain?

As the IPL 2023 final approaches, provisions have been made to address potential rain-related disruptions. In order for a result to be possible in the IPL 2023 final, both teams must complete a minimum of five overs each. The cut-off time for a five-overs-per-side match has been set at 12:26 am.

In the event that play cannot begin on the scheduled day due to rain, a reserve day has been allocated for the IPL 2023 final, which is Monday, May 29. If the match has already commenced but cannot be completed on the initial day, it will resume from where it left off on the following day.

If the toss has taken place on an original day but no play is possible, a fresh toss will be conducted on the reserve day. Franchises will also have the opportunity to make changes to their teams in this scenario.

In the circumstance where a five-overs-per-side match is not feasible, a Super Over can be held, with the cut-off time set at 1:20 am.

However, if weather conditions persist and all the aforementioned scenarios are ruled out, the Gujarat Titans will be declared the winners of IPL 2023, as they finished higher than the Chennai Super Kings in the points table during the league stage.
