Ravindra Jadeja, Indian all-rounder was honored with a sword cum memento by his Indian Premier League team Chennai Super Kings. It was a special gift given by the franchise to the 31-year-old. And, Jadeja was quick to share this special moment with his fans on social media. Afterward, he received lots of appreciation from the fans for his achievements in IPL.
The left-handed spin all-rounder is the only player in the history of IPL to grab 100+ wickets and scored more than 1900 runs. He has been an integral part of CSK over the years. He made his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals But, in the 2012 edition, CSK secured his services after paying a record fee of INR 9.72 Crores. Since then he has been playing for CSK. Also, he featured in Gujarat Lions jersey for two years when CSK was banned by the governing council.

CSK gifted memento to Ravindra Jadeja with a golden sword mounted on it. At the same time, the franchise didn’t forget and mentioned his achievements in a heartwarming gesture. So, they engraved his IPL records at the bottom of the memento. CSK coach Stephen Fleming presented this award to Jadeja in the presence of MS Dhoni and other team members. He always comes out with a sword celebration in a tribute to his Rajput community. So, keeping that fact in mind CSK also mentioned: “The Rajput Boy” over the award.
The Indian all-rounder quickly took to his official Twitter handle and shared this moment with the fans. Looking forward to the season,”
Jadeja will be a vital cog in CSK’s batting line-up in IPL 2020 after Suresh Raina pulls himself out of the tournament. He might be asked to bat in the middle-order, unlike previous seasons. And, he is expected to perform well with the ball in UAE where wickets are quite spin-friendly. He will be spotted in action on September 19 against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020 tournament opener.
