BGIS 2023 Online Qualifiers Round 1 Schedule & Format

All of the registered BGMI teams competed in the In-Game Qualifiers, the first stage of the BGIS, which took place from August 10 to August 17, for a berth in the Online Qualifiers Round 1.

The India Series was initially established in late 2021, and this major official event is the second iteration.

The prize pool for this renowned competition, which totals 2 crore, has already been made public by Krafton India.

The 2,048 qualifying teams will be seeded into 128 groups, with 16 teams in each group.

The top three teams from each group, together with the 96 teams with the best rankings, will advance to the second round of the BGIS after the first round is held over four days from August 31 to September 3.

Round 2 of the Online Qualifiers will include 480 teams from Round 1 plus 32 teams from The Grind.

For the 256 invited teams, Krafton recently held a unique event called The Grind. 32 lineups advanced to the second round, while the remaining 32 lineups advanced to the third round.

192 teams were eliminated from the tournament during The Grind event. They participated in the In-Game Qualifiers as well.

From August 31 to September 17, the three-round BGIS Online Qualifiers will be conducted, and from September 21 to October 1, the Quarterfinals and Losers Bracket will take place.

From October 4 to 7, the Semifinals will take place, and from October 12 to 14, the Grand Finals.

Points distribution

The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 uses a 15-point system, much as the first edition did.

The winning team in each match will get 15 placement points, while the 13th through 16th-placed teams will receive none. For each elimination, one point will be given.
