    Afghani batters Hashmatullah Shahidi and Azmatullah Omarzai stupendous partnership was one of the main reasons why Afghanistan reached a competitive total of 272 runs in Delhi. The duo put up a total of 121 runs on the board in 128 deliveries and were clinical in their approach.

    But as soon as they departed, Afghanistan slipped on a banana peel and ended up losing wickets, consistently. The big-hitters in the form of Najibullah Zadran and Mohammad Nabi couldn’t live up to the billing and in the end, Afghanistan couldn’t cross the mark of 300.

    India’s skipper, Rohit Sharma, is a class act. His batting is simply poetry in motion as the gifted player struck his 7th century in the ICC ODI World Cup. He also broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar for the maximum number of centuries in the ODI World Cup.

    Sharma scored 131 runs in just 84 balls and his innings was packed with 16 fours and 5 sixes. He had an outstanding strike-rate of 155.95. Alongside Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper made sure that India gun down the total with absolute ease.
