As the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2023 drew to an end, Magic Squad emerged as the clear winners of the global championship. 

After Corinthians won the 2019 tournament, it was Brazil’s second international championship. The Grand Finals was place in Bangkok, Thailand on November 26 and featured six matches amongst the 12 finalists.

The highly sought-after FFWS trophy and a $300,000 cash prize were won by Magic Squad. 

The game’s publisher, Garena, gave the 18 competing teams in the Free Fire World Series $1 million in prize money.

The event’s lowest six teams received $18,000 each after being eliminated during the Knockout Stage. Here is the complete prize allocation for the remaining prizes:

  • WAG – $55,000
  • EXP Esports – $50,000
  • LOUD – $45,000

  • P Esports – $25,000
  • Hotshot Esports – $18,000
  • MIBR – $18,000
  • All Glory Gaming – $18,000
  • Osaka – $18,000
  • Furious Gaming – $18,000
  • WASK – $18,000

After winning the first three games of the Finale, Magic Squad scored a total of 112 points. The team outperformed the squad of the reigning champions, who competed this season as Buriram United.

Buriram United Esports finished the tournament as runners-up with 95 points after failing to win the championship. The old Evos Esports team, which won the FFWS 2021 and 2022 titles, was brought in by the well-known Thai company.

Although without any Booyahs, CGGG, another Thai team, managed to secure a podium spot with 89 points. Throughout all three World Series stages, the team remained constant.

Vietnam’s WAG and Indonesia’s RRQ Kazu managed to secure fourth and fifth place, respectively, with 72 and 70 points. Despite a few missteps, both teams managed to secure a place in the top five.

With 68 points, EXP Esports from Thailand finished sixth in the Grand Finals after struggling. 

Their athlete, DEW, won the FFWS MVP award for his outstanding efforts during the tournament. In the World Series 2023, he suffered 94420 damage and 110 eliminations.
