As India is the top-seeded team in the whole pool, they have directly qualified for the quarter-finals. But, they will be facing a challenge as their skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has been suspended for 2 games following her unruly behaviour in the series versus Bangladesh.

Smriti Mandhana will be the captain of India for the first 2 games and would be hoping that she makes the job easy for the regular skipper, once she returns.
