Babar Azam Drops From 2023’s Top 10 Google Searches In Pakistan, Shubhman Gill Trends

Date:

Google’s annual trends report for 2023 in Pakistan revealed that Babar Azam did not secure a spot in the top 10 trending searches for “people” in the country.

Despite being a consistent presence in the headlines throughout the year, Azam’s absence from the list marked a notable shift in online search patterns, capturing the attention of cricket lovers and online observers.

Babar Azam, known for his elegant stroke play and captaincy skills, has been a focal point of cricket discussions in Pakistan. However, the Google trends suggest that other personalities and events took precedence in the digital landscape of public interest during the year.

This year’s top searches for individuals in Pakistan showcased a diverse array of names, reflecting the multifaceted interests of internet users.

Vloggers Hareem Shah and Aliza Sehar secured the top spots, followed by Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, whose online presence generated substantial curiosity, particularly regarding his well-being.

Shubman Gill in Pakistan’s Top Searches

Interestingly, Shubman Gill, the young and dynamic Indian cricketer, emerged as a notable figure in the top 10 searches.

Gill’s inclusion highlighted his growing popularity and impact on the cricketing scene, capturing the attention of Pakistani fans and reflecting the borderless nature of cricket fandom.

The diverse mix of names on the list also included rising star Haseebullah Khan, Pakistani cricketers Abdullah Shafique and Saud Shakeel, and international players like Glenn Maxwell.

Shubman Gill’s presence alongside these cricketing names underscored the sport’s enduring popularity and its ability to transcend national boundaries.

Most Searched Matches in Pakistan’s Top Searches

Cricket continued to dominate the search trends. The most searched cricket matches of 2023 reflected the nation’s intense love for the game.

Encounters involving the Pakistani cricket team against Australia, Afghanistan, and New Zealand topped the charts, with the fourth-place match of the Cricket World Cup between India and New Zealand also garnering significant attention.

While Babar Azam may not have featured prominently in online searches, his cricketing prowess remains evident in the detailed batting statistics across IT20 and ODI formats.

On the other hand, Shubman Gill’s trending status suggests a growing curiosity and admiration for the young Indian cricketer, setting the stage for continued discussions and developments in the world of cricket fandom in Pakistan and beyond.
