    Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets in the second Test match held at Rawalpindi, securing a historic 2-0 series victory. 

    This historic victory comes after Bangladesh’s stunning performance in the first Test, where they emerged victorious by the same margin.

    Bangladesh’s triumph is even more impressive considering Pakistan’s formidable home record. 

    The Bangla Tigers have made history by becoming the first team to sweep a Test series against Pakistan in Pakistan.

    Mehidy Hasan Miraz Shines With Five-Wicket Haul

    After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Bangladesh’s bowlers put in a stellar performance to dismiss Pakistan for 274 in the first innings. 

    Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with a five-wicket haul while conceding just 61 runs.

    In response, Bangladesh managed to post 262 runs, thanks to a brilliant century from Litton Das. Despite falling short of Pakistan’s total, Bangladesh ensured they did not concede a significant lead.

    Hasan Mahmud’s Fifer Puts Bangladesh on Top

    The second innings saw a remarkable spell from Bangladeshi pacer Hasan Mahmud, who claimed a five-wicket haul with figures of 5/43. 

    His performance, along with contributions from Nahid Rana and Taskin Ahmed, helped Bangladesh bowl out Pakistan for 172, setting a target of 185 runs for the visitors.

    Bangladesh Openers Shine in Chase

    Despite a brief rain interruption, Bangladesh’s openers Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam put on a solid partnership, finishing the fourth day’s play at 42/0. 

    Hasan’s aggressive approach, scoring 31 off just 23 balls, set the tone for Bangladesh’s successful chase.

    On the final day, Bangladesh continued their momentum and reached the target with 6 wickets in hand, completing a historic series sweep. 

    Litton Das, who scored a match-changing century in the first innings, was adjudged the Player of the Match.
