Date:

One of the greatest T20 batters of all-time, Aaron Finch has retired from Australia’s franchise T20 league, Big Bash League (BBL). The former skipper of Australia, Aaron Finch has been a towering personality in the history of Big Bash League and has created several records during his matches.

After 13 long seasons with Melbourne Renegades, Aaron Finch has decided to hang up his boots and this decision has made several fans of Melbourne Renegades, quite emotional.

“Melbourne Renegades legend Aaron Finch will call time on his incredible Big Bash career, announcing this BBL|13 season will be his last. One of Australian cricket’s greatest white ball players, the 37-year-old confirmed the news at Marvel Stadium on Thursday evening ahead of the Renegades clash with the Hobart Hurricanes,” said Melbourne Renegades in a statement released by them.

Between Big Bash League 2 to Big Bash League 10, Aaron Finch was the captain of Melbourne Renegades. They had won the title in BBL 2018-19, when they defeated Melbourne Stars by 13 runs in the finals.

Notably, this is the only title won by Melbourne Renegades so far in BBL history. They would be keen on winning this year as this is the farewell season of Finch.
