The Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25 schedule has been officially announced. The 14th edition of the BBL will kick off on December 15, 2024, with a blockbuster match between the Perth Scorchers and the Melbourne Stars at Optus Stadium.
The majority of the matches will be played in the evening, with start times ranging from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM local time.
The tournament will be played across multiple venues in Australia, including the iconic Optus Stadium in Perth, the Melbourne Cricket Ground, and the Sydney Cricket Ground.
The timing of the BBL 2024-25 season has been strategically planned to align with the conclusion of the highly anticipated India-Australia Test series. The final Test match in the series is scheduled to be played in Sydney, concluding on January 7, 2025.
This window between the end of the India-Australia Tests and the start of Australia’s tour of Sri Lanka presents an opportunity for the nation’s top Test players to potentially participate in the latter stages of the BBL.
