East Delhi Riders (EDR) are the defending champions of this competition and had outfoxed South Delhi Superstarz (SDS) by a narrow margin of 3 runs in the finals of the previous edition.
Both the two teams kickstart proceedings of this competition from 2nd August 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
Digvesh Rathi, who impressed everyone with his wily bowling for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL, was the costliest player in the DPL Auction for Season 2. He got sold for Rs. 38 lakhs.
