    IND vs BAN 1st T20I

India lock horns with Bangladesh in a 3-match T20I series starting from 6th October 2024. After blanking Bangladesh 2-0 in the red-ball format, the onus will be on the young colts of India to continue their dominant run against the Tigers of Bangladesh.

Surya Kumar Yadav has been appointed as the skipper of the Indian team and he will be looking to take his team over the line. Gautam Gambhir will have another litmus test against Bangladesh and would be hoping to win the series without breaking much sweat.

India are the champions in this format having won the elusive ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in West Indies & USA.

In this article, we take a look at the strongest playing XI of the Indian cricket team in the upcoming IND vs BAN T20I series:

Openers: Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma

Having rested the likes of Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal, the Indian team has gone with Abhishek Sharma as the frontline opener. He can be joined in by swashbuckling wicket-keeper batter, Sanju Samson.

We have seen Samson open for India in this format and Abhishek Sharma recently smashed a T20I century against Zimbabwe in only his 2nd T20I.

Top-Order: Surya Kumar Yadav, Rinku Singh, Riyan Parag

Skipper Surya Kumar Yadav, also known as Mr. 360 degrees, is all set to come in at number 3 for India. One of the most dependable batters in this format, Surya Kumar Yadav has 4 centuries under his belt.

Rinku Singh and Riyan Parag are expected to follow Surya Kumar Yadav in the batting order. Both the batters are highly-skilled and have the ability to smear the bowlers, all across the park.

    Middle-Order: Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar

Rinku Singh and Shivam Dube are interchangeable and can be switched up as and when the situation demands. Singh has the ability to go after the opposition bowlers from the word go and Washington Sundar is a fantastic all-rounder, with exceptional batting and bowling abilities.

Bowlers: Varun Chakravarthy, Arshdeep Singh, Mayank Yadav and Harshit Rana

Some exciting names in the mix, Mayank Yadav and Harshit Rana can both make their debuts for India in the 1st T20I against Bangladesh on 6th October 2024 at the Gwalior International Cricket Stadium.

Both the players have hogged the limelight, time and again, in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Varun Chakravarthy will be making his comeback into the team for the first time since 2021.
